Hi,
My name is Josiah Murray and with the help of Tolan Henderson I am the online editor for NZwakeboard.com. I am originally from Christchurch which is where I first started wakeboarding but now live in Auckland as I have done for the last two years.
I have only been involved in the sport for about 5 years but have dove in head first and am now involved at all levels of the sport here in New Zealand. I am an active member of Wakeboard New Zealand; the governing body of wakeboarding in New Zealand, am a part owner of Wakepark NZ the first cable system in New Zealand and am now involved with NZwakeboard.com.
I also love to wakeboard myself and am always eager to get as much time on the water as possible. When I am not riding I am never too far away from the action either with a camera or with a microphone mc’ing events.
NZwakeboard.com is a fresh new media website that has been born out of a large void in the New Zealand wakeboarding scene. Our vision is to promote and grow the sport of wakeboarding in New Zealand, providing a national platform for rider participation and public interaction.
NZwakeboard.com is a crisp and clean website that will be updated frequently to encourage daily return users, through our forum and fresh exciting content we will establish ourselves as the centerpiece and home of New Zealand wakeboarding. We want to encourage member participation through weekly competitions, weekly features and our forum that will allow members to discuss relevant topics with each other, from events, to boat setup and much more.
NZwakeboard.com will follow all wakeboarding events throughout New Zealand and will provide exclusive content and features, including videos throughout the season. We will have a physical presence at all New Zealand wakeboarding events through NZwakeboard.com team members, stickers and banners.
NZwakeboard.com is run by wake boarders – for wake boarders. We have the support of some of the best wake boarders around the country that will be contributing fresh new content on a regular basis. We are passionate about wakeboarding and will always aim to provide the highest quality and interesting content. We want to encourage participation from all levels and abilities of wake boarders and will strive to provide coverage and content to reflect this.
Because NZwakeboard.com is designed to encompass all aspects of the wake boarders life, and wakeboarding is a seasonal sport we will also have topical content that relates to wake boarders on the site to keep it fresh and interesting during the off season.
